Step 1
Wash the red dates and cut them open with a fruit knife. Add sugar (optional) to the glutinous rice flour. Stir with warm water until thick and roll into a long strip (the length is slightly shorter than the red dates). Fill in the red dates. I think it is too sticky, so I just use chopsticks to hold the glutinous rice. After filling in the paste, put it in the pot and steam it over high heat for 15 minutes.Step 2
