Taro and red bean donkey rolling
Ingredients
- Glutinous rice flour 55g
- Water 80 grams
- Taro filling 60g
- Red bean and lotus seed filling 25g
- Cooked soybean flour 30g
- Butter 8g
Steps
1. Prepare the original ingredients.
2. Pour the water-milled glutinous rice flour into a mesh sieve and sift.
3. Add water.
4. Mix the batter thoroughly by stirring.
5. Then heat it in the microwave for 1 minute, take it out and stir it, continue heating for 50 seconds, and the whole thing will be cooked.
6. When the glutinous rice dough is no longer hot, add butter and knead evenly.
7. The stickiness of the glutinous rice balls is very strong. Picking it up and dropping it repeatedly will make the glutinous rice balls stronger.
8. Coat the surface of the glutinous rice balls with a layer of cooked glutinous rice flour.
9. Use a rolling pin to roll out the glutinous rice dough into a rectangular shape.
10. Put a strip of taro filling on one end of the glutinous rice skin.
11. Place another strip of red bean and lotus seed filling.
12. On the top, squeeze another strip of taro filling and smooth it out with the back of a spoon.
13. Roll up the stuffed end, and roll out the skin a little thinner at the end.
14. Roll it tightly until it is finished, and then pinch the seal tightly.
15. Finally, roll it in the cooked soybean flour to coat the surface with soybean flour.
16. Finished product.
17. Finished product.
Tips
- 1. If the glutinous rice ball keeps shrinking when rolling, roll it out and let it relax for a few minutes, so that it will not shrink.
- 2. You can also use steaming, which takes about 15 minutes. Using a microwave is faster and easier.
- 3. The fillings I use are all ready-made. You can use homemade ones or buy them ready-made in the supermarket.
