Step 1
Wash the edamame beans thoroughly until there are no floating hairs on the surface and the water color is clear. It’s better to choose big and plump edamame.Step 2
As shown in the picture, use scissors to cut off the sharp corners at both ends to facilitate the marinade.Step 3
Boil water in a pot, and when it boils, pour in the chopped edamame. It’s better to keep the water enough to cover the edamame. Open the lid of the pot and cook it wider like this, so that the edamame will not turn brown easily. Cook over medium heat for about 10-15 minutes. You can add an edamame to taste the softness.Step 4
There is a layer of floating powder on the surface of the cooked edamame. Rinse it with cold boiled water, drain the water and place it in a glass or ceramic bowl.Step 5
After it cools down, pour in the marinade, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for more than 4 hours, until the flavor is absorbed and then serve. The amount of braised edamame should be equal to that of the edamame. It doesn't matter if it's a little less. Use clean chopsticks to turn the edamame over every one or two hours until the flavor is evenly absorbed. Cooking tips for bad edamame1. Wash the edamame first and then cut both ends to prevent dirt from getting into the edamame. 2. Add the edamame after the water boils. Open the lid and cook to prevent it from turning brown. If the edamame turns yellow, the color will be poor. 3. Pour out the hot water immediately after cooking the edamame, as the residual heat of the water will turn the edamame yellow. 4. Pour in the marinade and put it in the refrigerator for half a day to let it taste. If you feel it is not tasty enough, you can leave it for a while and flip the upper and lower layers with clean chopsticks.
