Materials we need. The green leafy vegetable I choose is cabbage. Why? Because I happen to have it at home. You can also replace it with rapeseed, Chinese cabbage, chrysanthemum, kale, whatever vegetables you like that are suitable for blanching.Step 2
Chop potatoes, mushrooms, and onions and set aside. Sausage slicesStep 3
Rinse the rice thoroughly and drain the water normally according to the scale.Step 4
Make a cross on the tomatoes (you can peel them or not, it’s up to you) and place them in the middle. Place the rest of the ingredients around. Our leafy greens and eggs go last.Step 5
Heat a pan with minimal oil and sauté onions and garlic slices until fragrant. You don’t have to add garlic slices if you don’t like them. It is recommended to sauté onions or scallions until fragrant.Step 6
Turn the pot to low heat and add about 50ml of hot water. Add dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, chicken broth, oyster sauce, salt and sugar. You can add a few drops of sesame oil if you like.Step 7
Simmer until the thick soup has melted and the soup has bubbles. That's it.Step 8
Pour evenly into the pan. Press the cooking button to cook rice normally.Step 9
My rice cooker normally cooks rice for 37 minutes, and the rice is already cooked when I open it.Step 10
Stir the rice and cover it again for a while. The potatoes are very soft at this time, and have a crunchy texture when mixed with rice, which is very delicious.Step 11
While the rice is simmering again, we have two final touches. Boil water, put a few drops of oil in the water, and blanch the vegetables. Doing this will keep the greens green.Step 12
After the water boils again, cook for about 1 minute and the vegetables can be taken out and set aside.Step 13

Although it is a simple dinner, we still need to eat nutritiously. The fast pace of life cannot consume our health. Cantonese Style Sausage Claypot Rice Cooking TechniquesI generally don’t add a lot of water because the tomatoes themselves are juicy and my sauce is also liquid. I think the water content is enough. You can adjust the amount of water appropriately according to the temperament of your rice and pot.
Simply put all the ingredients into the pot and let time do the rest. We can go do other things and be ready to eat in 40 minutes!
