Mapo Tofu
Ingredients
- Tofu 500g
- Minced meat 50g
- Garlic 3 cloves (minced garlic)
- Onion 2 roots
- Pixian Doubanjiang Appropriate amount
- Light soy sauce Appropriate amount
- Sugar Appropriate amount
- Salt Appropriate amount
- Starch Appropriate amount
- Clear water Appropriate amount
Steps
1. Cut tofu into cubes
2. Prepare minced meat
3. Pour oil into hot pan, stir-fry Pixian bean paste until fragrant, then add minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant
4. Pour in minced meat
5. Fry the minced meat until it changes color
6. Add water and bring to a boil over low heat. Pour in the tofu, add light soy sauce and sugar to taste, and cook for another 3-5 minutes. When the tofu is soft and tasty, thicken with water starch to reduce the juice. You can adjust the taste again to see if you need to add more salt
7. It’s out of the pot, sprinkle with chopped green onion, it’s delicious
Tips
- Pixian bean paste is relatively salty, so be sure to use caution when adding light soy sauce and salt
