Osmanthus and red bean dumplings
Ingredients
- Adzuki beans 200 grams
- Rock sugar 50g
- Water 1200 grams
- Dried Osmanthus Appropriate amount
- Small glutinous rice dumplings Appropriate amount
- Osmanthus sugar rice cake (optional) Appropriate amount
Steps

2. Soak in water for 24 hours
3. Put the soaked adzuki beans into the rice cooker and add water

5. Scoop out an appropriate amount of red beans and soup, add rock sugar and simmer over low heat for another 10 minutes. Use the back of a spoon against the wall of the pot to press out some of the bean paste
6. Add the small dumplings and cook over medium heat. Stir frequently with a spoon to prevent sticking to the bottom

9. Cut an appropriate amount of sugar rice cake into dices of about 1 cm
11. Wait until the dumplings float to the surface and then cook. Stir often with a spoon to prevent them from sticking to the bottom of the pan (rice cakes with added sugar are more likely to stick)
12. Take out of the pot and sprinkle with dried osmanthus. Enjoy a bowl of sweet and delicious snacks, a heart-warming snack in winter

- Buy the sweet-scented osmanthus sugar rice cake and cut it as needed, package it in small portions and store it in the refrigerator, which can extend the New Year flavor
