Sugar-coated haws
Ingredients
- Hawthorn 200 grams
- Rock sugar 80g
- Hot water 80g
- Bamboo sticks 4 sticks
Steps
1. Pour an appropriate amount of water into the container, you can add some salt, or not
2. Pour the hawthorn in
3. Wash with hands
4. Cut off the pedicle
5. Place on a plate and set aside
6. String the hawthorns with bamboo sticks. The specific number of strings is up to you.
7. Put rock sugar in the pot
8.Pour in hot water
9. Use hot water to dissolve the sugar cubes
10. After the water boils, boil the syrup over low heat
11. After the syrup is boiled, you can sprinkle some sesame seeds. To judge whether it is cooked well: dip a chopstick into a little syrup and put it into cold water. The syrup will clump together quickly
12. Put the skewered hawthorns into the syrup and roll them around so that each one is evenly dipped in the syrup
13. Just put it in a cool place for about 15 minutes. The sugar will melt when placed in a hot place
