Sweet and sour Northeastern pork skewers
Ingredients
- Pork belly stuffing (8:2) 300g
- Tofu skin 2 sheets
- Onions and ginger Appropriate amount
- Oyster Sauce 10g
- Eggs 1
- Thirteen fragrant powder 3-5 grams
- Sesame Oil 10g
- Salt, chicken essence Appropriate amount
- Extremely fresh soy sauce 40g
- Cooking wine 10g
- Rice vinegar 40g
- White sugar 30g
- Clear water 50 grams
- Starch 10g
- White sesame Appropriate amount
- Cilantro Appropriate amount
Steps
1. 300 grams of pork belly stuffing with a lean to fat ratio of 8:2.
2. Cut the onion and ginger into small pieces.
3. Add the minced onion and ginger to the meat filling, then beat in 1 whole egg, add appropriate amount of thirteen spice powder, salt, chicken essence, very fresh soy sauce and sesame oil.
4. Use chopsticks to stir in one direction and stir vigorously (the chopsticks can stand in the meat filling without falling over).
5. Spread the tofu skin on the cutting board, and evenly spread the prepared meat filling on one side of the tofu skin.
6. Roll up the tofu skin along one side as tightly as possible.
7. Place the rolled meat sticks in a pot and steam for 20-25 minutes.
8. Cut into thick slices after serving.
9. Arrange the cut meat on the plate.
10. Mix 1 tablespoon of cooking wine, 2 tablespoons of very fresh soy sauce, 3 tablespoons of sugar, 4 tablespoons of rice vinegar, 5 tablespoons of water, and 1 tablespoon of starch to make an all-purpose sweet and sour sauce.
12. Pour the sweet and sour sauce on the meat skewers, and sprinkle an appropriate amount of white sesame seeds to enhance the flavor.
13. Garnish with coriander leaves.
14. Serve.

Tips
- Universal sweet and sour sauce ratio: 1 tablespoon cooking wine, 2 tablespoons very fresh soy sauce, 3 tablespoons sugar, 4 tablespoons rice vinegar, 5 tablespoons water, 1 tablespoon starch.
- If you like the taste of traditional Northeastern meat skewers, just slice it after steaming and put it on a plate with garlic paste and other dipping sauces as a cold dish.
