Cucumber Stuffed Shrimp (Steamed)
Ingredients
- Ginger 5 grams
- Fresh shrimp 20 pieces
- Steamed Fish Soy Sauce 2g
- Onions 3 plants
- Sugar 5 grams
- Salt 3 grams
- Light soy sauce 5 grams
- Oil 10g
- Cooking wine 10g
- Cucumber 1 root
Steps
1. Remove the heads of the prawns, tear off the shrimp threads, peel off the shells, and keep the tails.
2. Use a knife to make a small hole near the shrimp head.
3. Pass the shrimp tail through the opened hole.
4. It should look like this when dressed. It’s okay not to, just peel it into shrimps.
5. Marinate the shrimps with a little salt, light soy sauce, cooking wine, green onions and chopped ginger.
6. Marinate for about a quarter of an hour until the flavor is absorbed.
7. Peel the cucumber and cut into sections of about five centimeters.
8. Use a spoon to scoop out a little of the cucumber pulp, but don't dig to the bottom.
9. Sprinkle a little salt and marinate for a while to drain out the moisture.
10. Place one shrimp on each section of cucumber. The shrimp I bought this time were not big, and some only put two.
11. Put half a pot of water in the pot, put on the steaming rack, bring to a boil over high heat, put in a plate, steam over high heat for two minutes, turn to medium high and steam for eight minutes, turn off the heat and simmer for two minutes and uncover.
12. Put a few drops of steamed fish soy sauce on each cucumber, sprinkle with chopped green onion and drizzle with hot oil.
13. Steaming vegetables can retain the original flavor to the greatest extent, and the loss of nutrients is relatively small.

Tips
- Condiments can be increased or decreased according to personal taste;
- The same can be done for loofah and bitter gourd, and the filling can also be replaced with pig head;.
- Bring the water in the steamer to a boil before adding the vegetables;
- Don't steam it for too long. If the cucumber is too rotten, there will be too much water.
