Whole chicken 1 only | Shiitake mushrooms 8 flowers |
Agaric 8 flowers | Red dates 3 |
Astragalus 5 tablets | Codonopsis pilosula 1 root |
Angelica 5 tablets | Salt 1 scoop |
Step 1
Soak the fungus and tear it into small pieces, wash the dried mushrooms, dangshen, astragalus and angelica and set aside.Step 2
Wash the whole chicken, chop off the head and put it into the electric stew pot. Place all the ingredients on top of the chicken and choose the old fire soup option. If you don’t have an electric stew pot and a casserole, just add enough water at one time. Do not add it halfway as it will dilute the flavor of the chicken soup.Step 3
Simmer for 4 hours. Bring the casserole to a boil over high heat and leave on low heat for about 2 hours.Step 4
Chicken soup that nourishes qi and blood is the best tonic in winter. The added herbs have a light medicinal aroma, and the soup has no bitter taste. If you can't finish it in one meal, be sure not to add salt. Cooking tips for winter tonic chicken soup
